PHOENIX -- The first in a series of storms moves through Arizona today, bringing a noticeable change in weather.
It's been a mostly warm and dry January so far, but on this last day of the month, a cold front is moving through. The front is driving windy weather in Northern and Southern Arizona, and breezy weather in the Valley. It's also ushering in cooler air.
Valley highs are expected to peak just shy of 70 degrees this afternoon under partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies. There is a 10 percent chance of light rain in the Valley, but a better chance the high country could see up to an inch of snow today.
Another storm will bring another 1-2 inches of snow to the Flagstaff area tomorrow, and a third storm will follow on Monday.
The Valley will likely stay dry this weekend but cooler.
Look for a high of about 65 degrees on both Saturday and Sunday under partly cloudy skies. Saturday morning's low temperatures will range from the low 40s to low 50s, but Sunday morning will be colder in the low 30s to low 40s around the Valley.
Monday's storm could bring the Valley rain.
