PHOENIX -- Temperatures will be running about average for metro Phoenix through the weekend. We may see a bit of an increase next week, but right now, the weather pattern is pretty stable.
No rain is forecast for Arizona.
The good news on the fire lines near Prescott is that after Wednesday afternoon, winds are expected to come down for the rest of the week.
Wednesday, as of 2 p.m., we’ve observed gusts on the Doce Fire over 30 miles an hour. Most likely, in the mountainous areas where we don’t have weather equipment, no doubt the gusts have been in the 40 mile an hour range.
Tomorrow, peak wind gusts will be much lower, in the range of 20-25 miles an hour. Prevailing winds will continue to be mainly out of the south.
