SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- 'Diners, Drive-ins and Dives' is one of the most popular shows on the Food Network. The hit show is hosted by foodie Guy Fieri. It often gives local restaurants a major boost whenever they're featured on the show.

Now, one Scottsdale breakfast joint will be highlighted on that show Monday night at 7 p.m.

But on Monday's Good Morning Arizona, Yetta Gibson got a sneak peek at what Perk Eatery has to offer.

The restaurant at 64th Street and Greenway in Scottsdale has been open two and a half years.

"I got sick of eating bad breakfast," owner Pauline Martinez tells us. "So we decided to bring a little bit of goodness to Scottsdale."

One of Perk's most popular dishes? The banana nut pancakes with fresh pecans, caramel and bananas.

Martinez says it was a great experience working with Guy Fieri."He likes to joke a lot, so we laughed a lot," she told Yetta. "I'm sure there's no shortage of comedic energy. I can't wait to see how they edit this one."

Another Valley restaurant that's been featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives is Matt's Big Breakfast in downtown Phoenix. The restaurant has seen a big increase in business since the show aired.

Owners say the exposure was great, but that the regulars are the restaurant's bread and butter. "It's the regulars and locals that have kept us busy. But ever since Food Network came to Matt's Big Breakfast, it's filled in the gaps."

Guy Fieri's favorite dish at Matt's was pesto marinated pork chops with home fries and eggs.
