PHOENIX -- Highs in the Valley didn’t get quite as high as expected on Wednesday. The reason was the thickness of the clouds overhead.
Even so, late afternoon temperatures at Sky Harbor International Airport reached 95 degrees, and other parts of the Valley were in the upper 90s.
It’s likely Thursday will be much warmer statewide, with a few locations getting to 100 degrees. While we’re not forecasting that for Phoenix Sky Harbor, it’s not out of the realm of possibility, especially if we get a very warm morning low.
One thing is for sure: temperatures will be moderate for the weekend, dropping back about 8 to 10 degrees but still remaining above average.
