PHOENIX -- A winter-type storm is entering Arizona. With that, we’re going to see snow showers in northern Arizona and a slight chance for rain in the Valley on Saturday morning.
There is a winter weather advisory out for northwest Arizona, including Flagstaff. The Valley is under a wind advisory for Saturday.
If the timing plays out as forecast, the cold front headed our way will pass through the Valley around 11 a.m. on Saturday, bringing with it the slight chance for showers.
We expect Valley winds to peak during the early afternoon hours before falling off near sunset.
The big news will be the temperature change. It was 94 degrees in Phoenix on Friday. Saturday’s forecast high is only 73 degrees, a drop of more than 20 degrees.
