TEMPE, Ariz -- ASU's Gammage Auditorium will play host to one of the country's most beloved musicals this weekend: Peter Pan.

Audiences young and old will enjoy being transported to Never Never Land! Those who see the show can expect a dose of magic in this all new version of the two-time Emmy Award winning and two-time Tony Award nominated production.

The legendary Cathy Rigby stars as Peter in the off-Broadway production. She's been playing the role on and off for the past 20 years.

Rigby says she keeps coming back to this particular show because it lets her be a kid again. “I get to play for two hours every night,” she tells us.

Rigby relies on her gymnastic skills to glide and soar across the stage, bringing Peter to life. A strategically placed system of harnesses and  cables helps her take flight.

3TV's own Heidi Goitia got to experience a little of the magic herself, as she met with Rigby at Gammage Auditorium. Rigby helped get Heidi strapped into a harness and sent skyward, to give her a taste of what it's like to soar through the air.

Performances of Peter Pan run through Sunday at Gammage.

You can buy tickets on the Gammage website.
