PHOENIX -- After another active night of storms, the Valley is off to a partly cloudy and humid start to the day. Look for an afternoon high of 104 degrees on Tuesday and a slight chance of storms throughout the day.
It should be an active day of monsoon storms in the high country and by the evening hours, storm chances are higher for the Valley, too. Heavy rain and potential flooding is a threat from any storms that do develop.
On Wednesday, drier air is forecast to move into the state, leading to only slim storm chances for the deserts of the state, including the Valley. Storms may continue in the high country, but limited monsoon moisture will likely keep conditions drier, warmer and calm in the Valley through Friday. Storm chances return for the weekend.
