PHOENIX -- Our mild start to 2014 will continue with plenty of sunshine in the weekend forecast.
The Valley saw a near-record high of 77 degrees Thursday. Friday will bring temperatures in the mid 70s again during the afternoon under sunny skies. Overnight lows will stay fairly mild in the 40s under partly cloudy skies.
A cold front will push by to our north, bringing temperatures down slightly this weekend.
In the high country, afternoon high temperatures will be about five to 10 degrees cooler than they are today on Saturday and Sunday. In the Valley, we'll drop from today's mid 70s, to highs right near 70 degrees both Saturday and Sunday. Other than some high clouds expected Saturday morning, skies are expected to stay mostly clear with light winds all weekend.
Next week, mild weather and sunshine persists through midweek. By Thursday and into Friday, a storm looks to move through Arizona. Rain chances appear slim for the Valley, but a cool-down is likely.
