PHOENIX -- Arizona is in for another mild day as temperatures gradually recover from a strong spring storm earlier this week.
Light rain and snow showers were coming down in the high country this morning but were expected to taper off quickly today.
This afternoon, mostly sunny skies are expected statewide, with high temperatures well below average for this time of year. In the Valley, temperatures will peak at about 84 degrees, well below the average high of 92 degrees for today's date. Mostly sunny skies are expected with light winds between 5 and 10 mph.
Overnight lows will drop to the mid 50s to mid 60s around town before we warm to about 91 degrees Friday afternoon.
Over the weekend, temperatures rebound to the mid 90s on Saturday under sunny skies.
On Sunday, a dry cold front moves through the state. Look for Valley temperatures peaking in the upper 80s Sunday afternoon and breezy to locally windy conditions across the state.
Next week, a big warm-up looks likely with highs in the triple digits again by Wednesday.
