GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Glendale police are searching for the suspect who gunned down a 16-year-old over the weekend.
Police responded to a call of a shooting at approximately 11:15 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of a Fry's grocery store at 43rd and Northern avenues.
Officers found the Glendale teen with at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Police are not releasing the victim's name because he is a juvenile.
Police said the suspect originally was described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall with a stocky build and wearing all black clothing. On Monday, police said newer information indicates the suspect appears to be a black male driving a dark-colored four-door car.
