It happened at the victim's restaurant, Sakura Sushi and Steakhouse, on Mayo Blvd., near the Loop 101 and Scottsdale Road.

When police arrived they found the suspect inside the restaurant and took him into custody.

There were several customers in the restaurant during the attack. They all gave police similar accounts of the violent incident.

Hansen told police he was trying to cut off his mother's head with a knife. He said the attack was motivated by "pornographic photographs" of him.

While getting checked out John C. Lincoln hospital the suspect became agitated. He was handcuffed to his bed when he tried to disassemble it in an apparent escape attempt, according to police. Hansen allegedly charged at an officer and pushed the bed at him. The officer tased the suspect.

Later at the 4th Avenue Jail in Phoenix Hansen attacked another inmate while the two were sitting next to each other in a holding cell. Hansen and the other inmate were handcuffed when for no known reason Hansen wrapped the chain of his handcuffs around the the victim's neck and pulled the victim to the floor.
