PHOENIX -- The southbound lanes of Interstate 17 have been reopened following a Saturday morning crash, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Officers responded to a report of a crash, and when they arrived on the scene they found a black sedan blocking traffic and a young female inside the car who had been stabbed several times.
The victim was pronounced dead at a hospital. Officers said there was no other people with the vehicle and the investigation is ongoing.
All traffic was being detoured off the freeway at Glendale and immediately re-entering at the Glendale on-ramp.
