PHOENIX -- Sunday looks like a fairly quiet, but hot day for the Valley of the Sun.
Sunday morning was off to a cloudy start, but assuming those clouds thin out quickly enough, we could see a high of 110 degrees this afternoon.
The record for today's date is 116 degrees, but the average high is closer to 105 degrees. Look for warm overnight lows tonight near 88 degrees.
There continues to be only a slight chance for Valley storms today through Tuesday, although more storms are likely in the high country, along with Southeastern Arizona.
High temperatures will eventually moderate over the next few days, with highs near only 104 by Tuesday.
