PHOENIX -- With just days to go until the start of fall, the Valley is in for another especially warm day. After near-record heat of 108 degrees Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday won't offer a lot of relief with above average temperatures forecast to peak at 104 degrees.
The average high for today's date is 99 degrees. We'll be closer to that by tomorrow with highs near 101.
Dry and warm weather is expected all the way through the weekend. We could even see double-digit highs by the start of next week.
Humidity is also dropping off with drier air moving into the state. Dew points across the deserts have even dropped to the 40s, making evaporative coolers an option again for desert dwellers.
Fall officially starts on Sunday with the Autumnal Equinox at 1:44 p.m. We typically see our last triple digit day in Phoenix on Oct. 3.
