PHOENIX -- It’s a Christmas crime caught on camera, almost too brazen to believe. Surveillance video captures the entire chain of events, beginning with a Fed-Ex man dropping off several packages to a Northeast Phoenix home. About 40 seconds later, a gift-snatching suspect moves in.

“It’s amazing that he pulls up on my property; he walks out like it’s no big deal, and he just takes all the packages like he’s done it before,” said homeowner Warren Myllion.

Warren and his wife, Amber Myllion, say the boxes that were stolen contained personal portraits of not only their family, but clients of Amber’s photography business.

“It’s beyond shocking,” said Amber Myllion.  “You just don’t think something like this is going to happen.”

Myllion estimates more than $1,500 worth of canvasses were taken, gifts that will not be replaced in time for Christmas.

“At this point, we’re pretty certain that the canvasses got dumped somewhere, so we’re not even expecting that we’re going to get them back,” said Amber Myllion.  “We would just like to stop this pain from happening to another family, another innocent victim.”

The Myllions say another neighbor believes he saw the same suspect vehicle, a white SUV, believed to be a Ford Explorer, about five miles away, possibly linked to another similar crime.

“He’s going around doing this, and we need to put an end to this,” said Warren Myllion.

That’s why the Myllions are circulating the surveillance video of the suspect thief, hoping someone recognizes him before he strikes again.

“I think he came to the wrong house; he picked up the wrong packages, especially with the canvasses that are useless to him, have no value to him at all, and now he’s caught on camera,” said Myllion.

Anyone with information about the suspect seen in the surveillance video is asked to call Phoenix Police. The Non-Emergency number is 602-262-6151. The number to Silent Witness is 480-WITNESS.
