PHOENIX -- As our monsoon season begins to wind down, the Valley is in for a quiet couple of days of weather.  A gradual warm-up is expected, as well.

An area of low pressure continues to impact areas to our north, but any remaining moisture will only bring a chance of showers to Northern and Eastern Arizona today and tomorrow.

The Valley is in for a warm-up, starting today.

Look for an afternoon high of 98 degrees under mostly sunny skies today.  Overnight lows will once again dip to the 70s under clear skies before we warm to a high of about 100 degrees Friday afternoon.

More sunshine and dry weather is expected for the weekend when highs should top out near 101 on Saturday and 103 Sunday.

Looking ahead, Valley rain isn't looking likely for next week.
