PHOENIX – Police have arrested a man in connection with a deadly shooting outside a Phoenix apartment complex.

It happened at the Granite Bay apartments at 19th Avenue and Thunderbird Road. A man’s body was found just outside the security gate near the street.

According to police, witnesses reported hearing an argument either late Sunday night or early Monday morning. That argument ended in gunfire.

Officers responding to a 911 call reporting shots fired in the area discovered the body of an adult male as soon as they arrived on the scene.

Police arrested Arron William Crook, 25. He faces a first-degree murder charge.

Investigators have not released any details about the victim nor have they said how the victim and suspect might have been acquainted.
