SALT RIVER, Ariz. -- The Arizona Diamondbacks don’t have much of a chance to rest after their Sunday afternoon game against the Milwaukee Brewers. Once the game is finished, the team takes off for a trip around the world to Sydney, Australia.

The Diamondbacks will play the first two games of Major League Baseball’s regular season against the Los Angeles Dodgers at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The first pitch of the season is scheduled for Saturday, March 22, at 1 a.m. local time, and the second game is set for 7 p.m. later that day. The D-Backs will act as the home team for both games.

3TV’s Scott Pasmore spoke with Derrick Hall, president of the Diamondbacks, about the upcoming trip, including the logistics of the travel, the conversion of an oval cricket ground to a baseball diamond, and how one player will suit up for both Arizona and Team Australia.
