PHOENIX -- Another blast of cold air is headed into Arizona today, bringing already chilly temperatures down even further.
High pressure is settling over our region, bringing cold air in from the north. This afternoon, we'll see sunshine, but a high of only 56 degrees, which is more than 10 degrees below average for this time of year.
Tonight, the Valley is under a freeze watch from midnight until 8 a.m. Tuesday. Lows are expected to get down to a range of 28 degrees to 36 degrees around town.
This morning, both Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon set new records for cold temperatures. The morning low at the Grand Canyon was 23 degrees below 0, and Flagstaff dipped to 9 degrees below 0.
Temperatures this week will slowly warm through midweek, but on Thursday, another storm approaches, bringing a slight chance of Valley rain and high country snow. Snow accumulation of less than an inch is expected in Flagstaff and
