MESA, Ariz. -- The Boston Pops are in town to help kick off the holiday season.
The orchestra group will be performing at Hohokam Stadium for the Best of Boston Pops on Saturday, Nov, 16, at 5 p.m.
The Boston Pops will be playing a variety of music from John Williams to Gershwin to Copland, Artistic Director Dennis Alves said. Guests can also listen to holiday and patriotic hits.
The Boston Pops event will also kick off the Forgotten Angel program sponsored by 3TV. Those attending the concert are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the event to donate to a child.
The Forgotten Angel program helps brighten the holiday season for children who would not receive their holiday gift wishes.
The Best of Boston Pops is the last time guests can visit Hohokam until it closes for renovation through 2015.
The stadium will undergo a nearly $20 million renovation and will host the Oakland A's for spring training in the beginning of 2015. Hohokam will receive new turf, new seats and player development. The Chicago Cubs will be moving to a new stadium.
