PHOENIX -- It was looking good for a while Thursday morning, but as it turned out, most locations around the Valley did not get any measurable rain as a cluster of showers made its way through central Arizona to the west.

Most of the Valley locations that got rain were on the west side of town, including:

Buckeye  .21”

Luke Air Force Base   .12”

El Mirage    .11”

Sun City   .10”

Glendale   .06”

So for Sky Harbor, the “official” weather station for Phoenix, we still haven’t recorded measurable rain since April 8, over three months.

The outlook for the next couple of days is not super favorable for rain. However, we will continue with slight changes (20 percent or less) for Friday and Saturday afternoon and evening.

However, by Sunday the chance for storms exits the forecast and we’ll begin watching the thermometer head back toward 110.
