PHOENIX -- The 38th annual 3TV Phoenix 10K and Half Marathon is Sunday, Nov. 3, and before the race, runners can fuel up with a specialty meal from The Arrogant Butcher.
The Arrogant Butcher at CityScape will be serving their "Record Breaker" dish of pappardelle pasta, smoked chicken sausage, roasted squash, asparagus, mushrooms and Gina's Homemade Ricotta on Saturday, Nov. 2, noon-10 p.m. All proceeds from the dish will go toward the Mollen Foundation to help prevent childhood obestiy.
The lean meat from the sausge is a good source of protein and the carbs in the pasta provide energy the day before the race, Chef Zack Randol said.
The 3TV Phoenix 10K and Half Marathon starts Sunday morning at 7 a.m. with the half marathon, followed by the 5K at 8 a.m. and the 10 K at 9 a.m. Kids ages 12 and under can also participate in the 1-mile fun run which begins at 10 a.m. Runners can register the day of the race or anytime before.
