PHOENIX -- The Valley will make another run at a record today, but big changes are ahead.
Yesterday's high of 81 degrees set a new record, and today's forecast high of 82 would set a record, as well.
Clouds are streaming into the state from the west and southwest ahead of a storm system that could eventually bring us some rain.
Today should stay dry, with low 80s and partly sunny skies. Tomorrow, look for more clouds and highs in the upper 70s.
There's a chance of Valley rain Friday and a better chance during the day Saturday, when temperatures will also drop to the upper 60s. Mountain snow isn't likely, as it's a fairly warm storm system moving in.
However, a colder storm is close behind. Rain and snow chances are in the forecast early next week, with highs expected to top out only in the low 60s Monday and Tuesday.
