SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Federal authorities say two tribal police officers have been wounded in an apparent shootout with a suspect in Scottsdale.
The FBI says the unidentified suspect also was wounded in Friday afternoon's incident on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.
Officials with the Phoenix office of the FBI say all three suffered wounds and were transported to a Scottsdale-area area hospital. Their injuries were not life-threatening.
The names of the tribal officers weren't immediately released.
Authorities didn't immediately release details on the shooting or why the suspect was wanted.
FBI spokesman Manuel Johnson says the agency is investigating the incident.
