YOUNGTOWN, Ariz. -- The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said late Friday night that the man suspected of killing two people in Youngtown has been found dead.

According to MCSO, 39-year-old Jose Guadalupe Sotelo was found deceased in a parking garage at Thunderbird Hospital.

Sotelo is suspected of killing 33-year-old Shawntah Eierdam and 41-year-old Adam Manns in an early Friday morning shooting in Youngtown.

Maricopa County sheriff's deputies and El Mirage police converged on a home in the neighborhood southwest of 111th Avenue and U.S. 60 (Grand Avenue), just east of the Agua Fria River.

According to investigators, Sotelo broke into the home just before 5:30 a.m. Friday and shot Eierdam and Manns. Manns was pronounced dead at the scene. Eierdam was rushed to a local hospital where she later died of her injuries.

Detectives believe Sotelo specifically targeted the victims, but they have not determined the connection between them.

A second woman was inside the home at the time of the shooting, but was not hurt. Chopper 3 reporter Tammy Rose watched as officers escorted that woman to a crisis support vehicle. While she was not injured, 3TV's Jill Galus described the woman as "visibly distraught and upset."

Investigators say the woman has been extremely helpful, providing them with valuable information as they piece together what happened and search for the shooter.

Neighbors told Galus that they did not see or hear anything out of the ordinary Friday morning.

"It wasn't until they woke up to all of this commotion this morning that they started asking questions about what was going on," Galus reported.

Youngtown is near Sun City, about 30 minutes northwest of Phoenix.
