TUCSON, Ariz. -- Jared Loughner, the man who opened fire at one of former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords' "Congress on Your Corner" events outside a Tucson Safeway, killing six people and injuring 13 others nearly two years ago, will formally receive his life sentence, reached through a plea deal, from a federal judge in Tucson Thursday.
