PHOENIX -- The Valley man who allegedly put the lives of several Scottsdale motorists in danger last week had drugs in his system at the time of his arrest.
An initial toxicology screening at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn has revealed that John Brigham, 45, tested positive for PCP.
Brigham’s allegedly destructive afternoon began last Friday when he got into a car accident at Hayden and Via de Ventura.
Following the accident, Brigham got out of his car and took off all of his clothes. He then jumped on top of one of the vehicles involved in the accident and began screaming and chanting.
Brigham proceeded to force a woman out of her Toyota Prius, and then began driving her car down Shea Boulevard. Brigham eventually crossed over into oncoming traffic, which is when he caused another accident involving three other vehicles.
Brigham tried to forcibly enter three separate cars in the area, but was apprehended by Scottsdale Police before he could flee the scene.
One of the victims during Brigham’s wild ride was a woman who is eight months pregnant. According to court documents, she suffered two broken legs that required surgery.
Brigham has been charged with several offenses, including aggravated assault, robbery, and DUI.
He is being held on $100,000 cash only bond.
