PHOENIX -- The Obama administration announced that it would stop deporting some young illegal immigrants -- so-called "DREAMers" -- and offer them work permits if they meet certain qualifications.
"This is a great development," said Regina Jeffries, a Phoenix attorney specializing in immigration and nationality law and vice-chair of the Arizona Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
"What it's going to do is actually allow kids who have no criminal history, who have done nothing but go to school, do the right thing, it's going to actually allow them to continue contributing to both our national economy and our state economy."
