2 suspects sought in Diamond Shamrock robberies

MESA, Ariz. -- Silent Witness is offering a reward to help locate a pair of suspects involved in two armed robberies at Diamond Shamrock convenience stores in Mesa.

The robberies occurred at 10:53 p.m. on May 18 at 2754 N. Power Road and at 11:43 p.m. on May 20 at 5158 E. University Drive.

In both incidents, one suspect entered the store and walked around briefly then left. Then the second suspect entered and approached the counter while pointing a military-style knife at the clerk. The suspect demanded money and fled the store after receiving it.

The first suspect is described as a clean-shaven white male with short brown hair, wearing a plaid hooded jacket, camouflage shorts and white tennis shoes in the first robbery and a dark gray hooded sweatshirt, jeans and black shoes in the second robbery.

The second suspect is described as a male, wearing dark pants and a brown hooded sweatshirt with a white design and skull on the front and an additional design on the back. In the second robbery, he wore plaid pajama pants with the same hooded sweatshirt. He had his hood pulled tight to cover his entire face except for his eyes.

Police released surveillance video and photos on Monday.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
