PHOENIX -- Police are searching for two men who robbed a Maryvale gas station while armed with a machete.
Two men reportedly entered the Shell gas station store at Indian School Road and Maryvale Parkway around 2:40 a.m. Monday, July 1 and aggressively cornered the clerk, demanding money.
Police said one suspect followed the clerk behind the register and at one point made a motion as if he was going to strike the clerk with the machete.
The suspects fled on foot with the money.
They are described as Hispanic men between 16 and 18 years old. They are both believed to be about 5 feet 5 inches tall and 120 pounds.
The armed suspect was wearing white shorts with a dark stripe on the side, and he had tattoos on his upper right arm and chest. The other suspect was wearing black shorts and shoes. Neither suspect was wearing a shirt.
