FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- While winter doesn’t officially kick off for another six days, the season already feels like it’s under way here in Arizona.
Residents of the high country have been particularly impacted by the storm that has hit the state, with three to six inches of snow arriving in the Flagstaff region Friday overnight into Saturday.
Another six inches of snow hit the Flagstaff area during the day on Saturday, leaving beautiful views, and dangerous driving conditions.
The Arizona Department of Transportation said there were more than a dozen car accidents caused by the winter weather. Fortunately, most of them were fender benders and no one was seriously injured.
Further south, residents of the Valley spent their Saturday trying to avoid the rain.
Things will begin to clear out, however, as we move into Sunday and the beginning of the work week.
Highs in the Valley over the next few days will be in the high 50s to low 60s, with lows expected to be down in the low 40s.
