PHOENIX -- The rest of this week should be fairly quiet in the weather department around Arizona.
We're looking for dry conditions and temperatures at or above normal for this time of year. In metro Phoenix, that translates into highs in the upper 60s and lows in the low 40s.
However, a very cold weather system will enter our state on Friday. With it, we may see some scattered rain and snow showers, though at this point, it doesn’t look like this is going to be a super "wet" storm. But it is going to be cold. Most metro locations on Saturday and Sunday morning are looking at freezing or below freezing temperatures.
Now, a lot can happen between now and the weekend, but as the forecast shores up, look for the Weather Service to start issuing watches and warnings about the potential cold weather.
