PHOENIX -- Thursday afternoon featured widely scattered rain and snow showers across much of central Arizona.
There were even a few light showers around the Valley. And for a time, with thunderstorms to the north, it almost looked like a summer afternoon, except that it was about 50 degrees cooler.
Temperatures will continue on the cool trend with overnight lows in the upper 30s in metro Phoenix and highs in the upper 50s on Friday. We’ll be slightly warmer for the weekend.
Our next chance for rain actually begins New Year’s Eve, with the chances at 20 percent.
There’s a better chance we’ll see showers on New Year’s Day, but temperatures will stay below normal.
