PHOENIX -- The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for much of central and southern Arizona for Thursday morning. The warning includes both the Phoenix and Tucson metro areas.
Although much of the core of both metro areas will stay at freezing or above, many of the more rural locations will be below freezing during the morning hours for a significant amount of time.
We’ve included both the map showing the warning area and our forecast lows around the Valley.
After that, we’re going to see a nice warm up into the weekend. By Friday and Saturday we should be in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees.
Christmas Eve there is a slight chance for showers that stretches into Christmas Day around metro Phoenix.
In the mountains, there’s a slightly better chance for snow showers as a rather weak storm system moves through.
