(CNN) -- Doctors are often amazed (not in a good way) at what patients manage to ingest or insert, and we're not just talking about kids, who are notorious for swallowing weird things or getting items stuck in noses and ears.

A trio of doctors put together 100 of their most unusual X-rays and published a book that you have to see to believe. Really. We couldn't make up this stuff.

According to the description on Amazon.com, "'Stuck Up!' capitalizes on this human capability of coming up with creative applications for everyday (and not-so everyday) items way beyond their designated uses ...."
