PHOENIX ZOO "WINTER IN JULY"
The Phoenix Zoo is holding its annual "Winter in July" event. About twenty tons of snow is being brought to the Zoo to help Zoo-goers cool off this summer. Water play areas for toddlers and older children will be open, along with water slides. While there, you can watch Zoo animals eat some cold treats like fish-sicles, blood-sicles and fruit-sicles! The Maricopa Home and Garden Show is all weekend. It's taking place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the University of Phoenix stadium in Glendale. Arizona Foothills Magazine is now holding its "Dog Days of Summer" casting call at Desert Ridge Marketplace's District Stage. Dog owners can choose to enter their pooches in one of three catergories; best small dog, best big dog and best dressed dog. The event takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The winner of each catergory will win an array of doggie prizes and an editorial spread in a future Arizona Foothills Magazine editorial, along with their winning title. WORLD'S GREATEST MAGICIANS
