PHOENIX -- Mostly sunny skies and warmer conditions are on tap for your Wednesday. As a ridge of high pressure builds over the desert Southwest, afternoon temperatures will begin to climb. Look for a high of about 88 today, which is about seven degrees above average for this time of year.
Temperatures should rise to the low 90s both Thursday and Friday, and Thursday will bring an increase in high clouds.
The weekend looks warm and dry with temperatures hovering near 90 both days. Overnight lows will rise a bit to the mid 60s for some mild nights and mornings.
Forecast models are showing a storm system possibly developing and moving through our region early next week. It could bring a cool-down to the low 80s and maybe rain.
