PHOENIX -- We've got nine days left of winter, but sunshine and warm temperatures are making it feel like spring is already here.

The normal high temperature for the Valley this time of year is 76 degrees. We'll be a bit warmer today with a forecast high of 81 degrees and partly sunny skies.

As a trough of low pressure sinks south into the Great Basin, winds will pick up in parts of Arizona today. There is a Wind Advisory and Red Flag Warning in effect in the northwestern part of the state for strong winds gusting up to 45 mph in the Lower Colorado River Valley.

Winds should stay light in the Valley but are expected to pick up for breezy conditions on Thursday.

Dry weather is expected for the next seven days with a Valley warm-up to the mid 80s likely over the weekend. Overnight lows stay in the upper 40s to mid 50s this week.
