DENVER, Colo. -- It’s been nearly 15 years since those strange lights were spotted over the Phoenix sky, and there’s still no good explanation for the unidentified flying objects.

Now, there’s another mystery in the Southwest. Strange objects seen flying over Denver have left aviation experts baffled.

A Denver man, who does not want to be identified, took some home video of these unexplained objects.

He says the flying objects appear around noon or one p.m. at least a couple of days a week.

"You're going to see it come in from the top and do a loopy loop," he describes.

The strangest part is that the lights are flying too fast to see with the naked eye. But if you slow down the video frame by frame, it becomes clear.

To make sure the video was legit, a Denver TV station sent out its own photographer to capture the images on his own camera. When the video was slowed, you could see a flying object.

"It's very strange,” says aviation expert Steve Cowell. He’s a former commercial pilot, instructor, and FAA Accident Prevention Counselor. But even he didn’t have an explanation for the images on the video.

"That is not an airplane, that is not a helicopter, those are not birds. Uh, I can't identify it,” he said.

Cowell did say there was one other possibility. "Perhaps there is some sort of debris that's being raised up by some of the atmospheric winds."

But it still remains a mystery. "As it fits the definition, it's an unidentified flying object," Cowell says.

The FAA says it checked with air traffic control, and no one has had any reports of flying objects. The agency also says no employees observed anything of that nature either visually or on radar displays
