PHOENIX -- The week got off to a hot start with a high temperature of 108 Monday. That's a few degrees above the average high of 105 degrees.
Today will likely be just as hot with a forecast high of 108 degrees. Overnight lows dropped a bit more this morning, with fairly cool Valley temperatures in the 70s.
You can expect more of the same tonight and into tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow we'll warm up to about 106 degrees, and about the same temperatures are expected the rest of this week ahead.
There's still no rain anywhere in sight with strong high pressure sitting over the state and a dry southwesterly flow in place.
An area of low pressure swinging by to our north will drive some windy weather tomorrow.
In the Valley, winds will stay below about 15 mph, but in the high country, there's a Red Flag Warning for stronger southwesterly winds and low relative humidities. That warning is noon-7 p.m. tomorrow. Winds are expected to ease up just a bit on Thursday and Friday.
