PHOENIX -- Expect a lot of sunshine, some afternoon breezes and highs ranging from 108-112 degrees around the Valley on Thursday.

There is a slight chance we could see some blowing dust Thursday night. Other than that, Independence Day will feature rather typical weather in central Arizona.

In the high country, we saw the number of thunderstorms on Wednesday reduced from Tuesday. And we expect that trend to continue on the 4th. Still, there will be isolated PM T-Storms in the mountains of our state.

For the weekend, expect slightly drier conditions and less thunderstorms. But early next week, we’re seeing signs of a decent import of moisture into our state.
