PHOENIX -- After a weekend that featured below average temperatures and a biting wind on Sunday, things have finally begun to warm up a little around the Valley of the Sun.

Afternoon temperatures on Monday were in the low 60s and we're expecting highs to make it into the upper 60s by Tuesday. By the end of the weekend we'll be in the mid-70s and by the weekend, many locations around metro Phoenix will see highs right around 80.

That's great weather for all the NASCAR fans in town and headed into town. With the mild weather we don't expect any rain.

It's also going to be a great week to see a Cactus League baseball game. With the warming temperatures, sunny skies and light winds, sunscreen up!
