GILBERT, Ariz. - A missing retired show dog has been located and was reunited with her owner Tuesday.

Belle, a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd, and her sister Scarlet retired as show dogs in Washington state and were flown to Arizona to be placed in a temporary home.

The person who took them in left the front door open and Belle ran away.

She was located Monday night after dozens of fliers were posted in the area.

Her original owner, Linda Reau, was staying at a local hotel while they searched for Belle. She flew back to Seattle Monday night and 30 minutes after she arrived, she received word that Belle had been found.

Linda flew back to Gilbert to be reunited with Belle. She plans to go back to Washington with Belle in a few days.
