PHOENIX -- Our winter storm from the weekend is now impacting the Southeast, as the Southwest heads toward a nice warm-up.

As high pressure builds in, afternoon high temperatures will return to the low 70s today and stay there all the way through the weekend. Overnight lows will continue to dip to the 40s and low 50s.

Clear skies are expected today, but high clouds increase from the west beginning tomorrow.  Look for partly sunny skies on Thanksgiving in the deserts of the state with highs in the low 70s.  Expect mostly sunny skies in the high country with forecast highs in the 40s and 50s.

A storm system moves onshore in California on Thursday, but should lose its strength as it moves through Arizona Friday and Saturday, bringing our state another rounds of clouds but no rain or snow.
