PHOENIX – Phoenix Police said they arrested a man early Saturday morning for fatally shooting one woman and injuring her sister.
According to police, the women were visiting 32-year-old Luis Mendoza-Saravia, who is one of the sister’s boyfriends, in the area of 1004 South 27th Avenue when an argument broke out.
The argument reportedly escalated, and Mendoza-Saravia grabbed a gun and shot both women.
One woman was declared dead, while the other woman was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
Mendoza-Saravia was arrested and booked into jail on charges of homicide, aggravated assault, and being a prohibited possessor.
