PHOENIX -- Temperatures Tuesday afternoon around metro Phoenix were, once again, running in the mid-80s. And even with high clouds Wednesday, temps will still be in the mid-80s.
However, late week a rather strong and cold storm system from Canada is going to drop south along the backbone of the Rocky Mountains. That means we'll see pretty windy conditions at times on Thursday and Friday and by the weekend, temps will drop off statewide 10 to 15 degrees.
However, it doesn't appear this system has much moisture for Arizona. Perhaps we'll see some scattered showers in northern and eastern portions of the state.
By the weekend, the Valley will see lots of sunshine but highs will only be in the low to mid-70s.
