QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. -- A food fight at a Valley high school may keep some graduating seniors from walking during the school’s commencement ceremony.

A group of seniors at Combs High School near Queen Creek decided the last few days of school would be a good time to pull their “senior prank.”  One of the seniors involved told 3TV that the food fight in the cafeteria ended up involving more than 50 students.

But the prank was seen as more of a problem by school administrators.

According to Hunter Boren, a senior at Combs, the principal has so far suspended about 30 people involved in the food fight.  The punishment for the seniors is that they will not be allowed to walk in the school’s graduation ceremony on Thursday.

Boren said he hopes to appeal the decision and has offered to clean the cafeteria.

School administration did not immediately return 3TV’s requests for comment.
