TEMPE, Ariz. -- Kristine Harrington reports fall may not be here yet, but the Fall Frenzy Music Festival was and the name had some scratching their heads because Friday was a scorcher!
"Fall Frenzy came from an idea to bring a fall event to the city of Tempe, however, fall can be very subjective in Arizona," said Tom Lapenna from Lucky Man Concepts.
With the scorching heat during Fall Frenzy, some of the audience members were questioning the name of the festival, even suggesting names such as "Summer Frenzy" or "End of the Year Summer Smash."
Volunteers at Fall Frenzy kept busy with restocking ice in coolers, providing free water from several water stations throughout Tempe Beach Park, and making sure everyone stayed hydrated. Despite the heat, Fall Frenzy was a success.
Music headliners included Stone Temple Pilots, Shinedown, The Cult, Weezer, Devo, Blue October, Disturbed and more. In addition to the live music, there were food and beverage vendors, arts and crafts and, of course, mister tents to beat the heat at Arizona's Fall Frenzy 2010.
