Guess the First 100-degree Day Contest

PHOENIX -- Mostly cloudy conditions were observed around much of Arizona on Wednesday afternoon.

The clouds originated in the sub-tropics and produced a few sprinkles around the state. Other than that, our rather quiet weather pattern is going to continue into next week.

For the holiday weekend, clouds will be on the increase by Sunday, but there’s no chance for rain around metro Phoenix. Highs on Saturday will be around 90 degrees and will drop off to 88 on Easter Sunday.

Next week, a cooler air mass will make its way into Arizona, but it’s not expected to bring much in the way of precipitation.

By Monday, we’ll see afternoon temperatures right around 80 degrees for metro Phoenix. That’s about average for this time of year.
