GILBERT --Danny’s Family Car Wash is holding a charity car wash to benefit the family of Lt. Eric Shuhandler, the Gilbert police officer who was shot and killed during a traffic stop late last month.
The event is today from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Danny’s Family Car Wash at San Tan Marketplace, 2870 S. Market St., in Gilbert.
Free basic car washes will be given in exchange for a donation and 100 percent of all proceeds raised will directly benefit the Shuhandler family.
People can also contribute to a memorial account that has been set up in Shuhandler's name at Wells Fargo. That account number is 1359531975.
